Frequently Asked Questions

Participants often have questions. We hope the following information answers some of those questions.

A: You can enter all races by clicking on this link

A: Online entries close midnight, Friday 20th August, 2021. You must enter online and on-site entries will only take under special circumstances. Registration on Saturday 21 August will open at 12noon and close at 5pm.

A: NO entries or changes will be accepted on race day.

A: We offer a team/relay entry for the full marathon distance only. Ideally your team is to be made of three people completing one 14km lap each. To find more information, click on Marathon Event from our website Home Page, then scroll down to entry fees and inclusions.

A: Only if you have NOT received or collected your race bib previously. If you have received your race bib in the mail or on Saturday pre race day, then we recommend you arrive a minimum 30 minutes before your race start time.

A: 6:00 AM and closes at 6:45am. This is for race bib collection only.

A: You must be medically and physically fit. You will need to under go sufficient training for the long distance races, marathon, half marathon and 10km. We encourage you to seek advice from your local running club or follow one of our training programs provided. The 7km and 2km events are a run/walk events.

A: The minimum and maximum ages are different for each race. From our website Home Page click on the race you are interested in and then click on Age Categories in the green menu bar near the top of the page.

A: When entering online you have the option to have your bib mailed to you. This service is only available until 15 July. After 15 July, bibs can be collected at the Registration marquee at the event venue, Victoria Park Lake on race weekend. Saturday, 12noon – 5pm is the preferable bib collection day. Last minute Race Bibs can be collected on the morning of the event, preferably 30 minutes before your start time. There will be a registration cut off 15 minutes before each race start.

A: Unfortunately this service is unavailable this year due to CovidSafe Guidelines. The baggage drop area is located in a marquee close to the event registration marquee in the event venue. Your race bib number will be your bag identifier, make sure you have your race bib with you when you collect your bag. This service is manned however the event manager takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

A: Course maps are available to download from each events Information Page on our website. Maps are also in the Athletes’ Guide and available to be view at the event. Please study you race map well before you take to the start line. Our courses have changed due to Covid and it is your responsibility to know the course and be aware of the location of toilets and aid stations.

A: Most of our markings will be chalked on the path this year. Measurement was undertaken using multiple GPS devices and as such the distance markers should be considered as a guide. We recommend you also study the course map and read the course description. You will find these on the website under the applicable event distance. There will be marshals positioned on course at major turn points and junctions to help guide you.

A: Turnaround points are clearly marked on the course map and on course a marshal will be present to direct you.

A: Drink stations are placed at approximate 4km intervals on course. Drinks stations are clearly marked on the course maps. We encourage runners to wear a race belt to carry nutrition, gels etc or wear a hydration pack. Unfortunately we cannot manage personal drinks this year due to Covid.

A: Toilets are located at the start/finish line and are clearly marked on each course map. You will also pass numerous permanent Council Toilets these are also marked on the course maps.

A: Basic first aid supplies are located at each aid station. Qualified First Aid is located in the event venue.

A: There is no official cut off time for Shepparton Running Festival events. All finishers will receive a medallion and a time. However, marshals and drink stations will begin being brought in after midday, 5.5 hours after the Marathon start time.

A: Please refer to the Prizes tab under Event Info for all details on prizes and presentations. Due to CovidSafe Guidelines we will not be organising formal presentations this year. All prizes will be posted out to winner post event.

A: In August the mornings are still very cool but once you warm up on course you will should find the conditions ideal. However we encourage you to check the weather via your favourite App or Website. We recommend you pack something warm to put on post race.

A: Unfortunately we cannot offer free hot showers at Aquamoves this year. Yes, because of Covid we need to limit extra non essential activity.  Aquamoves Leisure Centre offers a hot shower for participants. BYO towel and toiletries. Aquamoves also offers affordable hot and cold spa facilities. You must present your race bib for entry.
