Participants often have questions. We hope the following information answers some of those questions.

Q: How can I enter?

A: You can enter all races by clicking on this link

Q: When do entries close?

A: Online entries close midnight, Wednesday 21st August, 2019. On-site entries will take place at Victoria Park Lake on race weekend. Saturday, 10am – 3pm only, after this period no more entries will be accepted.

Q: Can I enter on Sunday, race day?

A: NO entries will be accepted on race day.

Q: Do you take team/relay entries?

A: We offer a team/relay entry for the full marathon distance only. Ideally your team is to be made of three people completing one 14km lap each. To find more information, click on Marathon Event from our website Home Page, then scroll down to entry fees and inclusions.

Q: Do I need to pre-register on race weekend, Saturday or Sunday?

A: Only if you have NOT received or collected your race bib previously. If you have received your race bib in the mail or on Saturday pre race day, then we recommend you arrive a minimum 30 minutes before your race start time.

Q: What time does registration open on Sunday, race day?

A: 6:00 AM

Q: How fit do I need to be?

A: You must be medically and physically fit. You will need to under go sufficient training for the long distance races, marathon, half marathon and 10km. We encourage you to seek advice from your local running club or follow one of our training programs provided. The 5km and 2km events are a run/walk events.

Q: What is the minimum or maximum age?

A: The minimum and maximum ages are different for each race. From our website Home Page click on the race you are interested in and then click on Age Categories in the green menu bar near the top of the page.

Q: Where do I collect my bib/race number from?

A: When entering online you have the option to have your bib mailed to you. This service is only available until 31 July. After 31 July, bibs can be collected at the Registration marquee at the event venue, Victoria Park Lake on race weekend. Saturday, 10am – 3pm is the preferable bib collection day. Last minute Race Bibs can be collected on the morning of the event, preferably 30 minutes before your start time. There will be a registration cut off 15 minutes before each race start.

Q: Is there a safe place to leave my bag?

A: This service is available to all entrants. The baggage drop area is located in a marquee close to the event registration marquee in the event venue. Your race bib number will be your bag identifier, make sure you have your race bib with you when you collect your bag. This service is manned however the event manager takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Q: Where can I access course maps?

A: Course maps are available to download from each events Information Page on our website. Maps will also be available to view at the event.

Q: Are there kilometre markers on the course?

A: Each kilometre point has been marked for each course. Measurement was undertaken using GPS and as such the distance markers should be considered as a guide. We recommend you also study the course map and read the course description. You will find these on the website under the applicable event distance.

Q: Where are the turnaround points on the course?

A: Turnaround points are clearly marked on the course map and on course a marshal will be present to direct you.

Q: What interval are drink stations? Can we pre-place our own drinks.

A: Drink stations are placed at 2-3km intervals on course. Drinks stations are clearly marked on the course maps. We discourage placement of personal drinks to avoid confusion. However we do offer a Personal Drinks service for the marathon only. You will find details in the Event Information under the Marathon Event on our website.

Q: Are there toilets on course?

A: Toilets are located at the start/finish line and are clearly marked on each course map. You will also pass numerous permanent Council Toilets these are also marked on the course maps.

Q: Is there First Aid on course?

A: Basic first aid supplies are located at each aid station. Qualified First Aid is located in the event venue.

Q: What is the official cut off time?

A: There is no official cut off time for Shepparton Running Festival events. All finishers will receive a medallion and a time. However, marshals and drink stations will begin being brought in after midday, 5.5 hours after the Marathon start time.

Q: Who receives prizes for each event?

A: Please refer to the Prizes tab under Event Info for all details on prizes and presentations

Q: What will the weather be like?

A: In August the mornings are still very cool but once you warm up on course you will should find the conditions ideal. However we encourage you to check the weather via your favourite App or Website. We recommend you pack something warm to put on post race.

Q: Is there anywhere I can have a shower?

A: Aquamoves Leisure Centre offers a hot shower for participants. BYO towel and toiletries. Aquamoves also offers affordable hot and cold spa facilities. You must present your race bib for entry.
